Fallout Shelter Vault 999 – Week 1

Good Evening dwellers and welcome to the second post on Vault 999. Since last weeks update quite a bit has occurred. An increase in the number of dwellers at the vault and I am happy to announce that Vault 999 now has its very own Outfit Workshop located on the fifth floor of the vault.

Immediately after my post on Saturday the 03rd of June 2017 I sent three dwellers out on a quest namely Jessica Jenkin, Robert Ross and Julie Hall. I have to say the music on this quest was quite haunting. It had the three heroes exploring an old abandoned building with creaky floor boards, boarded up windows and Radroaches on every floor. It was quite a daunting episode for the three heroes but in the end they managed to locate the cause of the strange signal that was being broadcast from the building and took care of it…

I have to say I’ve not played as much as I would have loved to especially with a new event beginning in Fire Emblem Heroes (another mobile game that I’m addicted to) but even though this may be, a lot has happened in Vault 999 during the course of this week. From the image below of my vault you’ll notice that in addition to the 11 extra dwellers there are quite a number of new rooms and levels. Let’s take a look at a quick break down.

First Level:
– 3 Residence rooms that can hold up to 10 dwellers (2+4+4) just after the vaults entrance
– A Water Treatment Station (two placed next to one another and upgraded once)
– The Overseer’s office where my dwellers can leave on quests from

Second Level:
– Power Station (three placed next to each other and with the upgrade it has merged into one room)
– Diner (three placed next to each other which has merged into one room)
– The Overseer’s office has now moved to this level to avoid raider attacks

Third Level: (this level has been completely revamped)
1 Living Quarters that can hold up to six dwellers (this is also three placed next to one another and merged into one)
A Medbay (two placed next to each other which of course merged into one)
A Storage Room
– Diner (three placed next to each other which has merged into one room)
– Medbay (three placed next to each other which has merged into one room)

Fourth Level:
– A Water Treatment Station (three placed next to one another and merged)
– 1 Depot (two storage rooms placed next to each other and upgraded once to acquire this)
– A Science Lab
– And finally an Athletics Room to boost the dwellers Agility stat

Fifth Level:
– Outfit Workshop
– Power Station (three placed next to each other and with the upgrade it has merged into one room)

Sixth Level:
– A Water Treatment Station (three placed next to one another and merged)

Vault Stats

21 32 Dwellers
– 1 Pet
6 14 Babies Born
9 31 Weapons
14 31 Outfits
10 23 Raider attacks
– 32 Radroach attacks
– 2 Mole Rat attacks

I think the most significant increase for me in this week was arming up my dwellers as you’ll notice the number of weapons went up from 9 to 31. With the increasing number of raider attacks, radroaches and now mole rat attacks as well, my dwellers have had a really tough week. I’m happy to have also acquired 31 outfits from the 14 that I had originally last week. With the additional weaponry and gear I’ve managed to send out three of my dwellers on two other quests as well as send out a single dweller into the wasteland who surprisingly brought back quite a bit of materials.

That’s it from me for this week, stay tuned as I have big plans to expand the vault even further in the upcoming week.

This is the overseer of Vault 999 signing off with a few images of events from week 1 in the wasteland.
